Writing songs since the age of seven, Ar Base never would have dreamed that his love for catchy tunes would ultimately become his calling in life. Today, his music plays world wide, spreading messages of hope through a blend of R&B, gospel, and Neo Soul.
influenced in his childhood by artists such as Luther Vandross, and brain McKnight, as well as having the privilege of singing behind legends such as Stevie Wonder, Patty LaBelle, Marvin Winans, Donnie McClurkin, Beverly Crawford, and Shirley Cesar, has helped to mold AR Base into the musical minister he is now.
His latest album, Come Close, is a faith filled journey through life’s highs and lows. Using real life stories, experiences, and expectations, each song brings the listener into a more intimate walk with God.
With songs produced by a team for Grammy award winning artists, such as “Give me favor,” and Dream,” AR Base fervently sings of how to rely on the promises of God when things look impossible. “One Day,” is intended to help listeners focus their sights on the hope of an eternal glory, and to live each day with anticipation.
Awarder with Akademia’s “Best Gospel Song” in 2015 for “Praise in the Fire,” AR Base continues to spread his message of never giving up. His music can be found playing across the globe, such as Athens, Greece where he topped the charts at number three on R&B Hits Radio.
He has also played on over eighty AM and FM stations nationwide, serveral of which are Stellar Award winning and nominated.
“i write my songs for everyone. The downtrodden, people who have fallen or given up. I want them to succeed in every area of thier lives, so they can lay aside the weights that are holding them back and and run the race before them.”
My brothers and sisters, God’s servant, AR Base.
